The Chamber Choir

The Chamber Choir was founded in 2015 as a "study choir" to Monika Lukáčová's study of choir conducting. We have given concerts at various events throughout Slovakia (Wedding Fair in Bratislava, Concerts of Film and Musical Music at the Alexander Duchnovič Theater in Prešov, at the FÚGA Cultural Center in Košice ... and others).

International cooperations:
We cooperated with the Riverside High School Chorus from USA, other cooperation with cellist Angel Tarpov (USA/BG) and we still also receive offers from abroad.

Slovak cooperations:
We cooperated with professional musicians and singers from Slovakia - soprano Eva Dovcová, mezzosoprano Jitka Sapara Fisherová, Katarína Porubanová, tenor Mykola Erdyk (SK/UA), Pavol Oravec, István Hajdu (SK/UA), Róbert Smiščík, barytone Juraj Havaj, bass Marián Hrdina, and others, pianists Lukáš Píš, Miloš Biháry, Matúš Ferko, Kateryna Tobyiash (SK/UA), organist Marek Štrbák, harpist Adriana Antalová, chamber orchestras with students from conservatories and Academy of Performing arts.

Our repertoire includes mainly film and musical music in various languages ​​arranged for the choir, we are singing Slovak folk songs as well, spirituals and others.

The choir has undergone various changes, currently we have 12 active members, from Slovakia, Italy and Slovaks living in the Czech Republic. Members of The Chamber Choir are not only students of voice or acting, but also very talented working people in several branches of science and research, law, culture, education and others.

Monika Lukáčová is a graduate of the bachelor's study of choral conducting at the Faculty of Music and Dance of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, under pedagogical guidance of prof. MgA. Blanka Juhaňáková, ArtD, as well as a bachelor's degree in music pedagogy - voice, at the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava. She participated in courses of choral conducting and voice education for choirs in Prague (Czech Republic) with PaedDr. Alena Tichá (2019) and in Havlíčkova Borová (Czech Republic) with Michal Hájek (2016). She also attended for two years in a row the Masterclasses in Orchestral Conducting, The Art of Expressive Conducting; in Rome (IT) with Maestro Luis Miguel Clemente (PT) and Maestro Robert Fiore (IT) for the first time as a passive student (2017), for the second time as an active student (2018), with the final concert in the Basilica of San Paolo Fuori Le Mura (Rome, IT). The Masterclasses also included orchestration and the acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the field of orchestra conducting. A very enriching experience for her was also the opportunity to conduct a choir in Denmark (2018).

Monika Lukáčová was also member of the Lúčnica Chorus (2012-2015), with which she participated in concerts at home in Slovakia and abroad (IT, FR, A, BE). Her voice teacher in this period was Mgr. Marián Vojtko. Occasionally she also collaborated with the Choir of the Church of the Trinitarians in Bratislava. In 2015, she founded the choir The Chamber Choir, with which she still collaborates on choral projects as its conductor. Also in 2015, she co-founded the civic association ŠtArt for support and visibility young artists, with whom she organized the Jazzernica Festival in Jazernica in 2019 thanks to support from the FpU, also co-organized the Christmas Song 2019 (orig. Vianočná pieseň 2019) vocal competition at the Arteatro Theater in Bratislava, the Summer Acting Courses 2020 at the Bratislava Conservatory, and others. In the civic association ŠtArt, she also performs singing in solo and duet concert projects, such as the DUET Tour, which was organized by Vztahovo. She currently works on choral project ,,Slovenským zborom" (choral tutorials performed by Slovak and Ukrainian professional singers) and in the art school ,,SZUŠ Senec - Setas Senec" as a teacher of voice and music theory. Her students achieve excellent results in competitions and are accepted to conservatories.
